Spent my time growing up on the beautiful Escuminac beach in New Brunswick. Grew up to be a mother to two beautiful girls who like to keep me on my toes. I am a business administration management student by day, mother and wife by night. I somehow manage to fit school work and studying in-between.
I’ve become very passionate about customer service since I entered the food & beverage industry years ago. I enjoy making people feel like they are my priority when they are my customer.
Working in this industry gave me the skills to work in a team. Teamwork is very important to me. It has helped me gain confidence in myself, it gives me the opportunity to help others, and has taught me how to maintain a positive attitude no matter how stressful things may get. I’ve found that when I act positive towards others on my team, they give that positivity back.
I’ve had the pleasure to volunteer analyzing data from an Age Friendly Community Survey for the City of Miramichi, as well as volunteer for the Miramichi Community tax program. I am very grateful for the instructors who gave me the opportunity to be a part of these experiences.
I am a soon to be graduate from the NBCC Business Administration Management program.
Classes that I enjoyed the most during my time at NBCC were math, accounting, finance and human resources. I was able to excel in these classes and it gave me the skills I required to realize that I can pursue my dream career in business management.

Born and raised in California. Joshua had developed an early interest in anything involving technology, and how they relate to business and communications. After moving to the Miramichi in 2017, he decided to work on a post-secondary education with NBCC, where he became Vice-President of the 1st year student body with the local student Union. Devoting much of his time to studies and positive works, he was given multiple opportunities to work within workgroups to coordinate information studies that are now being pushed through provincial legislation.
Joshua has full intent on continuing his education up to the minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in business (BBA) and finds joy in a hands-on-learning approach to his educative goals.
During his time at NBCC: Miramichi, he became more adept with his natural skill set of Mathematical Finances, Marketing, Managerial and Project Operations, before finally settling in with his capacity to be a public speaker and negotiator. Outside of the business world, he is committed to both learning about and giving back to his local communities. This has been primarily through participating in such activities as volunteering and networking within the Non-Profit sphere. He lives a rather busy, yet productive and positive life of learning and growth by taking this approach.

I am a second year Business Administration: Management student, my reason for choosing business is not only my love for the industry but the culture of it as well. I am excited to soon be out working in the business world after I graduate in June, 2019. A few subjects that I am very interested in are finance, international marketing and sales. I have had many female mentors and managers through the years, and I am hopeful that I will be a mentor for other girls and young females as I grow personally and professionally.
I have always been a lover of sports and I continue to stay involved with volleyball on the Miramichi. I have been a volleyball official for eight years now and it is something that I really enjoy, it is a sport that evolves and changes all the time. I have met so many wonderful people from all over the province through volleyball events. My experience as a volleyball coach has been wonderful and I hope to continue growing as a coach, I have been with the Vipers Volleyball club, and help with the local junior high team for several years. My goal is to teach the girls not only about the sport, but a little bit about life and having fun too.
The outdoors is my ‘place’, I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, walking and swimming. It brings me peace and allows me to relax and have some fun. I aspire to be a world traveler, I have traveled to many places on the east coast, down to New York and Orlando even as far as Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. I was involved with the Girl Guides of Canada for most of my childhood, which aloud me the most amazing opportunity to travel to Europe for three weeks, where we went to London, England; Paris, France and Adelboden, Switzerland. These travel experiences have provided me with new opportunities in different cultures.
My favorite saying at this time is,
“Treat people how THEY want to be treated, rather than how you would like to be treated”.

Born and raised in Upper Miramichi, New Brunswick. He spent several years operating his own small business in the area; this is where the business flame was ignited. Dreams of building a franchise out of it pushed him towards a business management program at NBCC.
The business management program helped guide him to discover the areas he naturally excelled at. Marketing, Sales, and Negotiations brought out the natural knack he didn’t realise he had. He discovered the key to sealing any deal is understanding at what point both buyer and seller are satisfied with a deal.
His empathy has proven to be an asset on numerous occasions when following up with customers in the numerous service industry Jobs following his enrollment to NBCC. Denver spends much of his spare time testing his critical thinking by diving into challenging tasks on each of his numerous vehicles; most of these tasks would usually be performed by licensed mechanics. That doesn’t stop him from always identifying the underlying issues then conducting and finishing the job the right way by being persistent and confident in resolving the issue.
This critical thinking proves true to his character in school by always digging deep until he completely understands the problem or task at hand.
Denver takes pride in his volunteer position chairing the Prospect Place Arena’s board of directors and putting his passion for hockey and his community to work by coordinating a team of like-minded individuals who handle the overall every day operations of the arena.
